Le Phoenix Erasmus Mundus JDP Dynamics of Health and Welfare définit un nouveau terrain de recherche et de formation doctorale, en liant santé, bien-être et société avec les théories et les pratiques des sciences humaines et sociales en contact étroit avec l’arène professionnelle.

L’École des hautes études en sciences sociales (Paris) fait la Coordination avec l’Escola National de Saude Publica, l’Unviversidade d’Evora (Portugal) et l’Université de Linköping (Sweden) comme membres du Consortium.

Le doctorat Phoenix EM JDP est un nouveau modèle  européen pour les programmes doctoraux dans les sciences humaines et sociales, avec des stages obligatoires (18 ECTS), séminaires de recherche et d’enseignement (42 ECTS) et la thèse doctorale (120 ECTS).

Chaque étudiant/e sera formé/e dans plusieurs langues européennes dans un minimum de trois universités différentes. Après la soutenance de thèse, les candidats obtiendront auront un « Joint Diploma ».

Santé et bien-être sont parmi les domaines les plus importants dans les politiques et économies actuelles, et affectent profondément la vie quotidienne des gens. De nombreuses institutions et des acteurs socio-économiques (illustrés par différents partenariats associés) sont demandeurs d’un programme qui fusionne sciences académiques et pratique, en produisant d’excellents chercheurs et professionnels qualifiés. Il n’y a pas nécessairement de contradiction entre la formation de haute qualité académique en recherche et  la préparation pour le travail professionnel futur dans des institutions publiques et/ou privés, ONG et autres partenaires du secteur socio-économique.

A cette fin, le Consortium a établi des partenariats associés avec des institutions impliquées dans le côté pratique des questions de santé et du bien-être au niveau européen et mondial– couvrant des activités locales et internationales , telles que ICSW, International Council of Social Welfare ;  European Laboratory on Health Systems and Policies-WHO ;  le Clipp-Montreal ;  La Croix-Rouge Française ;  la Direction des affaires sociales de la Mairie de Paris ;  County Council of Östergötland and City of Linköping  for health and social care (Suède); Siemens ; etc. Quatre universités sont membres associés et participent dans la formation des étudiants (Babes-Bolyai, Cluj; IEP, Paris, KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, et Fudan, Shanghai).

Le Phoenix EM JDP répondra aux besoins présents et futurs de collaboration plus profonde et satisfaisante pour toutes les parties ainsi qu’à la mobilité entre les différentes entités. Il fournit la connaissance pour l'intervention et l'analyse des besoins sociaux et politiques concrets en Europe et ailleurs, une expertise précieuse dans la recherche et la gestion future de la santé et du bien-être dans un contexte international.

Phoenix Erasmus Mundus JDP Dynamics of Health and Welfare defines a new field of research and doctoral training, linking health, welfare and society with theory and methods from humanities and social sciences in close contact with the professional arena. École des hautes études en sciences sociales (Paris) is coordinator with the Portuguese National School of Public Health, University of Évora (Portugal) and Linköping University (Sweden) as full members of the consortium. The JDP is a new European model for doctoral programs in humanities and social sciences, with mandatory internships (18 ECTS), research seminars and teaching (42 ECTS) and doctoral thesis (120 ECTS). Each student will be trained in several European languages at a minimum of three different universities. After dissertation, candidates will be awarded a Joint Diploma.

Health and welfare is one of the most important fields in current politics and economics, deeply affecting people’s lives. Numerous institutions and socio-economic actors in the field (illustrated by the diversified associated partners) ask for a program merging academic science and practicum, producing excellent researchers and skilled professionals. There is no necessary contradiction between high quality academic training in research and preparation for future professional work in public or private institutions, NGOs and other parts of the socio-economic sector. To that end, the consortium has established associated partnerships with institutions involved in the practical side of welfare and health issues on the European and worldwide level – covering activities from local to international levels.  (ICSW, International Council of Social Welfare ;  European Laboratory on Health Systems and Policies-WHO ;  le Clipp-Montreal ;  French Red Cross ;  Direction of social affairs-Paris Municipality ;  County Council of Östergötland and City of Linköping  for health and social care (Sweden); and Siemens. Four universities are associated members and participate in the training of students (Babes-Bolyai, Cluj; IEP, Paris, KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, and Fudan, Shanghai).The JDP will meet present and future needs for a deeper and mutually beneficial collaboration and frequent mobility between these arenas. It provides knowledge for intervention and analysis of concrete social and political needs in Europe and elsewhere, a valuable expertise in research and future management of health and welfare in an international context.
