2009-2010

En dépit d’une tendance affirmée et efficace à la globalisation, les études coréennes ne constituent ni un objet de recherche ni un champ de recherches évident. On tiendra compte non seulement d’une pluralité première (le registre des objets, les approches disciplinaires), mais encore d’une dissémination accrue de la Corée (Corée du Nord, diaspora) porteuse de paradigmes de coréanité potentiellement discordants. En bref, on portera témoignage des lieux multiples où se constituent les savoirs sur la Corée et des liens qui les relient.

Le séminaire 2009-2010 accueillera notamment les cycles de conférences des deux invités du Centre de recherches sur la Corée :

• en novembre-décembre 2009 : le professeur Stephen Epstein (directeur de l’Institut d’Asie de l’Université Victoria) : « Korea and its Neighbors: Globalization and National Identity in the 21st Century », série de quatre conférences interrogeant la redéfinition de l’identité coréenne sous l’effet des flux d’échanges croissants en Asie, à partir de l’étude des images d’autres pays d’Asie dans l’imaginaire coréen ;
• en janvier 2010 : le professeur Kang Hong-Bin (professeur à l’Université de Séoul et spécialiste des questions urbaines) propose une série de quatre conférences portant sur quatre « lieux » (places) représentatifs des problématiques de développement récentes de Séoul, la capitale sud-coréenne.
