Title Textual analysis of a part of Jean-Pierre Barthélemy's works
Author LE POULIQUEN Marc
Keywords Bibliography, Correspondence analysis, Metakey, Textual data analysis, Tree analysis
Topic None
Abstract In this article, we will study a part of Jean-Pierre Barthélemy’s works using textual analysis methods. Formerly a researcher for almost forty years, he used textual classifications of Giraudoux’s and Zola’s texts as examples to illustrate both his papers and his books. He was often surprised by the results he obtained. As a tribute to Barthélemy, we have carried out a classification of about sixty of his scientific papers, both those written in French and those written in English. To carry out this classification, we used BI-Qnomis which is a factorial textual analysis software and algorithm for tree reconstruction which Jean-Pierre Barthélemy contributed to make popular in the 1980s.

Title Filiation of Sanskrit manuscripts and phylogenetic trees
Author LE POULIQUEN Marc
Keywords Filiation of manuscripts, Phylogenetic tree, Sanskrit, Tree metrics
Topic None
Abstract The establishment of a stemma codicum is one of the most rigorous approaches of textual criticism. It requires rebuilding the history of the text by classifying the corpus to decide if a group of manuscripts is generated by a lost intermediary. To cluster our corpus, we use the methods of computerized textual analysis and phylogenetic reconstruction in order to establish the tree of filiation or pedigree. The method employed has been developed in editing sanskrit manuscripts with all specificities of this language.

Title Tree construction starting from betweenness relations, application to the stemma codicum
Author LE POULIQUEN Marc, BARTHELEMY Jean-Pierre
Keywords Betweenness, Filiation of manuscripts, Stemma codicum, Tree
Topics Classification - Clustering - Partitioning, Literature, Trees
Abstract In this paper, we model the ternary betweenness relation within the framework of the critical edition of texts. The editor must try to reconstruct as well as possible, starting from the various preserved manuscripts, the original manuscript as the author wrote it. The corpus is made up of many manuscripts which are copied from one another. To do so, it appears interesting to draw up a family tree of these manuscripts called stemma codicum. A manuscript B is between the manuscripts A and C, i.e. the manuscript C was copied starting from the manuscript B which itself was copied from A. This is this concept of betweenness by copy act which one wishes to model.
