Title A comparative study of social choices: factors responsible of doping in sport
Author DUGAS Eric
Keywords Borda's protocol, Condorcet's protocol, External logic, Internal logic, Sport doping
Topic None
Abstract A shroud of mystery surrounds the phenomena generating sport doping. The purpose of this inquiry is to determine, from five suggestions, the causes of doping by 100 sportsmen and 100 untrained participants and to define if these perceived reasons are unequivocal or confused. For this investigation, Condorcet's and Borda's protocols are performed, ranging these causes according preference orders. Our results reveal a convergence between sportsmen and untrained participants as well as for men and women. Perceived causes put at the first place the external logic (the sports institution and its organization) and while in background the internal logic of sport practice and sportsmen.
