The Laboratoire de Sciences Cognitives et Psycholinguistique (LSCP), UMR 8554, based in Paris at the Department for Cognitive Studies of the Ecole normale supérieure (ENS) is a combined Research Center of the EHESS, the ENS, and the CNRS. The Laboratory seeks to understand the psychological mechanisms which underpin the acquisition and workings of human cognitive functions such as language, social cognition and conscience.

LSCP has four research groups:

  • Language and Acquisition;
  • Computational Models of Development;
  • Cognitive and Pathological Development;
  • Brain and Consciousness.

These groups share in common research in techniques of cognitive psychology in babies, children, and adults as well as work on brain imaging, neuropsychology and modelling.
