Labex TEPSIS aims to create the first French and European platform of international research in the History and Social Sciences of Politics.

It  investigates the different forms of political intervention in capital cities and social spaces. It links the analysis of forms of government of contemporary societies with social practices that transform the organization and regulation of human activities.

The Center is managed by the EHESS and benefits from financial support from Investissements d'Avenir. It brings together 249 professors, researchers, and engineers, who constitute the first ever research collective in this area in France and one of the first in Europe.

Labex TEPSIS members been awarded 3 ERC Grants and over 70 ANR research funding awards.
